Astronomie: Spektralapparat mit Eintrittsspalt (Spalt), im Gegensatz zu spaltlosen Spektrographen (z. B. unter Verwendung eines Objektivprismas). Beim Spaltspektrograph wird das (z. B. von einem Stern kommende) Licht im Fernrohr gebündelt und zu einem Bild (bei einem Stern ein Beugungsscheibchen) auf dem Eintrittsspalt vereinigt.
